Udupi, Feb 6: A woman from Shirva lost her life after a private bus operating between Moodubelle and Bengaluru fell by its side at Gonibeedu bend in Moodigere taluk. The accident happened on the night of Sunday February 4.
Eight passengers of the bus also suffered injuries of varying degrees in this accident. They are being treated in different hospitals.
The deceased is identified as Bhavya (25), resident of Karmaru Jeddu in Kutyar near Shirva. Her husband, Sandeep (32), who was also with his wife in the bus, escaped unhurt.
