Bantwal: Carmel College, Modankap holds procession on cleanliness awareness

Bantwal, Feb 7: Carmel College Modankap in association with Bantwal town municipality organised ‘Clean Bantwal Nirmala Bantwal’ programme with a procession from Carmel College to Kaikamba and a programme.

Many other service organizations namely Lions Club, Lioness Club, JCI, Rotary Club and general public joined hands in the programme.

Ramakrishna Alva, president, Bantwal town municipality, Sadashiva Bangera, president, Bantwal Urban Development Authority, Rekha Shetty, chief officer Bantwal, Prof Sr M Supriya, principal, Carmel College Modankap and office bearers of various organizations were present.



Ramakrishna Alva presided over the programme. Mounesh Vishwakarma and his team ‘Samsara’ presented a street play on the need for cleanliness and stop using plastic. Every speaker urged the need for cleanliness, to make use of the municipality vehicle for waste disposal and to keep the public places clean as personal responsibility. Mohammad N, vice president, Bantwal town municipality welcomed the gathering. Bhaghyashree II BCom, Carmel College compered the programme.
