Mangalore; Aug 5: There is a close relation between stress and other diseases. Self-relaxation and self-realization help a person come out of stress, said Prof S Gurumadhva Rao, vice-chancellor, RAK Medical and Health Sciences University, Ras-Al-Khaimah, UAE.

Speaking on self-relaxation and self-realization at the IIPP center, located near Fathima Retreat House here on Monday August 4, he said that hard work accompanied by relaxation is not at all bad. When a person considers his daily work as punishment, then it is bad. Hence, enjoying work is a kind of relaxation, he informed.

“Most problems occur because of our negative thoughts. All negative thoughts should be removed first, for positive thoughts to reinforce in us,” he said.

Zeeta Lobo introduced the guest while Anita Cordeiro, and Savita Shenoy, compered the programme.
