Mangalore: Chikmagalur MP Srikantappa Breathes His Last

Mangalore, Aug 5: BJP MP from Chikmagalur constituency,  D C Srikantappa (79), who had been suffering from ill health for long, breathed his last at his residence in Birur on Monday August 4 afternoon.

Srikantappa was considered a strong candidate, having won the Loksabha seat from Chikmaglur thrice consecutively on BJP ticket. As he was down with throat cancer, he was not able to attend the trust vote at Delhi on July 22.

Srikantappa is survived by wife Lalitamma, children Ashok, Nagaraj and Asha. Funeal will be conducted on Tuesday August 5 evening.
