Mangaluru: Speak on development, don't disrupt unity in district - Khader's advice to Amit Shah

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SB)

Mangaluru, Feb 9: Minister of food and civil supplies U T Khader on Friday February 9 advised BJP national president Amit Shah to speak on development and elections during his visit to Dakshina Kannada and not try to play divisive politics by disrupting the unity of the district with communal remarks. Amit Shah is scheduled to visit the coastal region on February 19.

Addressing a press meet here, Khader said, "Amit Shah is the president of a national party, so we are happy that he is visiting Dakshina Kannada. We welcome him to our land. Of course, he is coming here with a strategy for the district for the upcoming elections. It is common for national level leaders to visit a city when elections near.

"At the same time, we request Amit Shah to stick to discussions on development and elections. Do not try to disrupt the unity of the district by making communal remarks or raking up communal issues. The people of this district have always wanted to live in harmony without any religious barriers," he said.

Speaking on the controversial circular on acquisition of religious places he said, "The chief minister has already given a clarification on this. Congress has never interfered in any religious matter. There is no such plan to interfere in the functioning of religious places or their administration. Congress always stands for anything that is in people's interest.

"The circular has been issued by a department and is not from the government nor is it a cabinet decision. Now the matter has been resolved. When the Supreme Court had ordered to demolish all religious places and buildings located close to roads, we stood with the people to protect their beliefs and religious places," he said.

Udyoga Mela

Khader also elaborated on the mega job fair 'Disha' to be held at Town Hall on February 17.

"The Udyoga Mela will be held in association with the state government, the district administration and Alva's Educational Institutions, Moodbidri. PG holders, graduates and PUC passed students can get benefit from the job fair. It is not for engineering certificate holders and those who are waiting for final results," he said.

"More than 5,000 aspirants and 89 companies with over 600 vacancies have already registered," he added.

He also said that for registration and details the aspirants may log on to www.mangaluruudyogamela.com. "Th

"Tomorrow (Saturday February 10) there will be orientation class at KPT college for registered students / youths. The state government has sanctioned Rs 50 lac for this and already Rs 25 lac has been handed over to the district administration," he informed.

In mumbai pakoda sellers like MM Mithaiwala, Jumbo Vada pav, and our own Shri Krishna Vada pav Dadar are billionaires today. Don't under estimate pakoda sellers.

I agree with you. Instead of all these visits he should concentrate on establishing institutions to give minimum education to the people of this region and train them to work hard and look after their parents in our country itself, instead of going to other countries and work like a slaves.

Welcome Sir. You are the only hope of this country and this region, which is ruined in last 40 years. In last 40 years government has not even provided minimum qualification to the people of this region. Also not teach them to work hard and earn a income to live a respectful life. People are going to other countries from this region to work like a slaves.

I read once in Tines of India that the leader of Hindu Mahasabha gave a warning to BJP, that if they don't build the Ram Mandir, Hindu Mahasabha would not allow them to do riots during election. Khader Saab, your advice is right and your thinking that Amit Shah will disturb the peace during the election is also right.
