Mangaluru: Young talents on display at two-day ‘Prathibha’, ‘Lalitharanga’ at SIT

Mangaluru, Feb 9: Srinivas Institute of Technology’s ‘Prathibha 2018’ and ‘Lalitharanga’ fine arts club - talent hunt was inaugurated on February 3.

The two days event was inaugurated by Dr Raghavendra Holla N, manager admin, Mangalore SEZ Limited. As the chief guest, speaking on the occasion he highlighted that students should grab every opportunity through these platforms, in order to excel in the ‘University of Life’. He also opined that due to globalization, immense opportunities are available for students throughout the globe.

Dr Thomas Pinto, HOD, Mechanical department presided over the function and addressed the students that they should recognize their own talents and outshine by participating in such competitions. Prof Sumana V S, cultural coordinator, motivated the students to actively participate in various events.

Arpitha V R welcomed the gathering, Goutham G Pai, introduced the chief guest and Ashik Kumar Shetty presented the vote of thanks. Chaithanya P and Shivani K Bhat was the master of ceremony of the programme.

‘Prathibha 2018’ was held for two days on February 3 and 5. Students in enormous numbers participated in various competitions like dance, singing, drawing, cooking without fire, collage, Turn the coat, face painting, Tattoo art, Dum Charades, variety, Mehendi, Mad ads, Dress Designing, mime show and Pick and act etc. Winners were awarded with exiting prizes during the valedictory function.
