Militants attack army camp in Jammu

Jammu, Feb 10 (IANS): A group of heavily armed militants early on Saturday attacked an army station here in Jammu and Kashmir.

A group of militants hurled grenades and used heavy volume of automatic gunfire to enter the Sunjuwan Military Station, police sources said.

"The area has been cordoned off. Three terrorists are believed to have entered the army station.

"A soldier and a civilian have been injured in the attack so far," a police officer said. The injured include a lieutenant and his daughter, reports said.

Militants had attacked the same army station in 2006. Twelve soldiers were killed and seven others were injured in that attack before the two 'fidayeen' (suicide) terrorists were killed.
