PM Modi conferred 'Grand Collar of the State of Palestine'

Ramallah, Feb 10 (PTI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi was today conferred the 'Grand Collar of the State of Palestine' by President Mahmoud Abbas, recognising his key contribution to promote relations between India and Palestine.

President Abbas conferred the Grand Collar of the State of Palestine on Modi after the conclusion of the bilateral meeting between the two leaders.

Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to make an official visit to Palestine.

The Grand Collar is Highest order given to foreign dignitaries - Kings, Heads of State/Government and persons of similar rank.

It has in the past been awarded to King Salman of Saudi Arabia, King Hamad of Bahrain, President Xi Jinping of China, amongst others.

The commendation reads "In recognition of his wise leadership and his lofty national and international stature, and in appreciation of his efforts to promote the historic relations between the State of Palestine and the Republic of India; in acknowledgment of his support to our people's right to independence and freedom so that peace prevails in the region."

Can Ramesh.S, Mangalore and Diego Mumbai/ mangalore quote one successful developmental project in Gujrat which BJP is always quibbling about 'Gujrat Model of Development'???. Unfortunately neither Modi nor Amit Shah have proudly quoted any successful and indegenious Gujrat project in thier entire election speeches. All they are doing is mudslining, rhetoric and controversies on opposition.

Do you think Congress fight election on Development model. From day one they were promising quota to Patel. Then they started propaganda on Jay shah. As election nears they realized Patel’s tilted and quota not conceivable, then they didn’t raised quota issue at all. They didn’t raised Godhra. Can you show one Rahul statement on Bad road poor electricity. Can you show his one photo in shanty Gujrat house dirty mud road. I can show you hundred of his photos canvassing in electricityless houses dirty mud roads of Ameti. Congress didn’t fight election on real issue then BJP has to change its strategy. They did it well.

BJP development is 1992 demolition of Babri masjid, Rath Yatra, 2002 Gujrat riots, beef ban, concocted love jihad, disasterous Demonitisation, Gabber Singh Tax GST, fake surgical strikes, killing own activists and blame the opposition to gain sympathy votes, recent budget without any direction, divisive politics, recruiting goondas, rowdies and criminals in BJP organisations and looting and assaulting women and the innocent at the same time PM Modi giving a deaf ear and blind eye to these grave sensitive issues. These are some of BJP's developments.

Visiting palestine has to be appreciated. Modi has tried to do some good. The bad state of affairs when he took over, leadership vacuum at the top and Indiaâ s self-destructive people have ensured that the country has not progressed as much as we had hoped for. The most vehemently opposed to him are the christians, not muslims. Most Indian muslims simply want to live life the way they want to and don t necessarily hate hindus. The christians however have a one-point agenda which is to destroy Indian culture. If everyone believes in the same things, the world will be a rather boring place.

Jenifer, MODI came from a humble background reached the highest post & world recognise him as a true leader..MMS had luxury of high education but a accidental PM/poor administrator every one knows that..secular MMS in ten years didnt got KSA highest civilian honour nor from Palestian, but MODI who was been accused of communal by Congis gets honors not only as PM as an individual also...its arrogant/shameful from your part to comment like ' PM honored by a non-existent state must be too humbling'..India recognised Palestine statehood from 1988, it doesnt matter if others not recognised...for your info ISRAEL still not recognised by Arab countries ..

I wonder why Bhakhts are not erupting into an elation. To be honored by a non-existent state must be too humbling.

Comparing mangoes with mangoes, apples with apples- I have some more information :
Other accomplishments of Dr. Man Mohan Singh :
Adam Smith Prize, University of Cambridge, 1956
    Padma Vibhushan, 1987
    Euro money Award, Finance Minister of the Year, 1993;
Asia money Award, Finance Minister of the Year for Asia, 1993 and 1994

    Jenifer,
Though these data of MMS are impressive , they are paled to insignificance and are irrelevant now. MMS lost his self respect when he turned to a mute spectator for 10 years as the Gandhis plundered the nation. Its an open secret. RG tore his ordinance in the parliment and still he was sheepishly quiet. SG walked past his ignoring his 'namaste' many times. His inefficiency went to such an extent that the US TIME magazine humiliated him as an 'under achiever' with his pic on the cover. So obviously he and his party were booted out in 2014. Though revival may happen, but not in the immediate future.

Can you elaborate on Gandhis' plunder or show a shred of evidence to this effect? All your allegations are based on published Nagpur publications. They are being junked by the court of law one by one Bofors, 2G, Rahul's British passport etc..If there's an iota of truth in the allegations, why don't they be brought to the book?
