'Don't know what will happen in future': CM Yogi after 10 lakh students quit exams

Lucknow, Feb 11 (Zee News): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday stressed on the need to make examinations simpler after over 10 lakh students reportedly skipped the state board tests in the last four days.

Reacting to the issue, CM Yogi said that a fear of exams has been created among students.

The sharp decline in the figure comes in the wake of steps taken by the Uttar Pradesh government against the education mafia that aid in the use of unfair means.

"When we said let's conduct a cheating-free exam (then) 10 lakhs students dropped out. This is the figure until now. I don't know what will happen in future," Adityanath said.

The saint-politician, however, said that ''we are observing and we will not leave it at this.''

''It is necessary to think on how exams could be further simplified," he said.

The firebrand BJP leader suggested that exams should not be looked upon as a challenge but as a part of the daily routine.

The Chief Minister said that the parents and teachers should not impose any kind of barriers on students and provide them with a conducive climate to cope with exams.

Yogi Adityanath further claimed that nearly six lakh youths had enrolled for a skill development programme in the last 10 months.

Of these, 2.5 lakh youth cleared the tests and more than 1.4 lakh youths got placement and were earning between Rs 15,000 to 40,000 sitting in villages.

He said the use of technology in 14,000 ration shops in the state was helping to save of Rs 35 crore a month.

When someone can grow from 'Kettle' to PM just producing fake degrees, why the rest of us need to study hard after all everyone has to end up pushing cart selling fresh 'Pakoras'?

While CM Yogi left to GOD, I would rather say they can be 'photoshop expert', 'video editing', 'lynchindia', 'Burnol or Hajmola' distribution or daily wage for 'tiranga yatra' and so on.

Knowledge earned by hard work and education will last lifelong. Education degree's and certificates brought by money and other means will not help throughout life. UP education system is rotten. Even some of govt officers are part of such things. Last year the govt made a change in UPSC that gives only one option for civil services aspirant to choose his home state or his region. This was done so that aspirants from a well developed region serve such regions which are underdeveloped like UP.

Even though I am the hard critic of Yogi, CM of UP, because of his redundant attitude towards old cows, closing beef shops for the common man, but allowing to export beef for few big export meat companies; Here, I support his move to stop cheating in the the school examination and taken strong steps against the education mafia that aid in the use of unfair means.

Go ahead Mr. Yogi, CM of UP. Line minded people are with you.

Mr Cunha, if you look at the statistics of previous years of students not writing the exams you will realise that Kama Yogi and his cheat ban rules has nothing to do with those students not writing the exams.
The young minds there don't know the use of education/don't need education. All are in the religious/political extremes.
Probably one of the most scariest states to live in India

Whey Rahaheel deal is kept secret and the cost is not disclosed to the Parliament committee.

Good move initiated by the CM. It takes time to change the mentality of people who have been used to the traditional style of malpractices, bribing system during exams.. But for sure, UP will change significantly in the coming years.
Only Yogi can understand what is the BIMARI of UP students.

CM Adityanath need not worry if humans refuse to come to school, if they drop out or unable to pass the exams. Your Shaalas are anyway being occupied by Gows. Best example of recycling (of human schools).

Jagadish, I can understand the extent of your knowledge in Geography. There can't be another reason for you to be thinking Mangalore is in UP. Gentleman, I come from a place that is popular for education, not from where the CM calls for making exams easy so that students don't cheat/drop out.

Our children brace fro tougher challenges - CBSE/ICSE - they don't go backwards. I am the product of the same system - rest assured.

Jagdish, are you illiterate? If you look at the record of exam attendance of previous years you will see that the students not appearing for the exams at UP have increased which probably means that there were a lot of repeaters who have not attended the exams yet and many new comes who are not interested in writing the exams. Check the UP exam attendance rate. Most importantly stop being an ignorant and look for facts .
It's foolish to make an assumption that Yogi has been "Successful" In my opinion he should be worried about the increasing drop out rates of students. It is a matter of grave concern if these young people have quit already. We will have more illiterate in India soon at this rate
