Government to build museum on Netaji in New Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 13 (IANS): The government is planning to build a museum fully dedicated to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in New Delhi, Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma said here on Tuesday.

"Very less can be seen in the national capital on Netaji. So we have decided to build a museum which will give a greater picture of the freedom fighter to the citizens," Sharma added at a press conference.

The Minister said the ministry is looking for a space in Delhi to build the museum and is in talks with the DDA regarding allocation of empty halls which can be turned into museum.

"Otherwise, we have 24 acres of land at IGNCA. We are planning to utilise some portion of the land for building the museum," Sharma added.

Apart from this, the ministry has also taken initiative to organise an exhibition on Subhash Chandra Bose at the Red Fort.
