Kuwait, Feb 13: Writer and traveler Manjunatha Kamath’s book in Kannada titled ‘Daari Tappisu Devare!’ was recently released here in front of the world famous Kuwait Towers on February 10.
Manjunatha Kamath, a journalism lecturer at MGM College, Udupi, is an enthusiastic writer and avid traveler. He has travelled far and wide across the countryside in India and has written extensively about his travelling experiences. The same has been brought out in the book ‘Daari Tappisu Devare!’ which was jointly released by the office bearers of Kuwait Kannada Koota, Sahitya Sampada Kuwait, Bharatiya Pravasi Parishad and GSB Sabha.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Azad I S of Sahitya Sampada praised the author for effectively picturising coastal Karnataka in words. "Reading the book gives a pleasant travelling experience and such works will boost travel literature," he added.
Manjeshwara Mohandas Kamath of GSB Sabha said, “We are all proud to release a Kannada book here in the Arab land. And we hope that Kannada literature will actively disseminate across the globe.”
Raj Bhandari of the Bharathiya Pravasi Parishad opined, "Travelling is not a purposeless roaming. It is a purposeful, educative and refreshing experience. Every traveler will have enlightening stories about humanity.”
Santhosh Shetty, Shrinivas Prabhu, Amrith Raj and others were present on the occasion.
