Mangalore, Aug 7: Most of the regions on the coastline went without rain during the last two days. Some parts however, witnessed heavy rains. Kollur received highest rainfall of seven cms.

Subrahmanya recorded a rainfall of three cms. Puttur, Karkala, Sullia, Udupi etc., received a meagre rainfall of one cm each. The meteorological department has predicted good rainfall during the next 48 hours. The fact that catchment areas of Linganamakki reservoir has been receiving good rainfall, has improved the prospects of better power generation in the state.
