Asia's largest Datacenter CtrlS launched in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Feb 15: Asia’s largest and one of the world’s biggest Tier4 Datacenters, CtrlS Datacenter, has now established itself in India’s IT Capital city of Bengaluru.

CtrlS Datacenter promises 100% uptime for mission critical businesses such as banking, insurance, telecom, internet and enterprises.

Karnataka’s Minister for IT, BT and S&T Priyank Kharge will be a part of the launch of the new CtrlS datacentre.

Kharge said: "It is yet another validation of the state’s ecosystem, we are glad that CtrlS is establishing its latest Datacenter in Bengaluru which is fast emerging as a global hub for data centers and I'm sure the CtrlS Datacenter will be the start of the ecosystem"

Speaking on the launch, Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder and CEO, CtrlS said, "We are delighted to announce the launch of Indian Silicon Valley’s and Bangaluru's 1st Tier-4 Datacenter. Our Tier-4 Datacenters are equipped to power mission critical applications requiring near zero downtime and low latency,"

"We are investing approximately Rs. 500 crore in our world class facility – which also is the World’s 1st LEED Platinum Certified building with industry best PUE enabled by a Carrier-Neutral platform and highest uptime SLA of 99.995%,’’ he said.

A total investment of Rs 500 crore has been planned tor the Bengaluru Datacenter facility and offers rich employment potential for the state of Karnataka. It plans to hire over 200 engineering and science graduates in the times to come.

CtrlS Datacentres thus is an obvious choice for India’s internet and banking giants.

The company is now launching Bengaluru’s 1st Tier-4 Datacentre, assessed as one of the largest Tier-4 datacentres in South India.

CtrlS operates five datacenters in the country (Four Tier-4 Datacenters and one Tier-3 Datacenter). The Tier-4 Datacenters are spread across Hyderabad, Mumbai, Noida and the Bengaluru facility.

Another Tier—3 Datacenter is located in Chennai and the company’s Datacenter footprint across the country spans over half-a-million square feet and has a rack capacity exceeding 10,000.

Its new Tier-4 facility in Bengaluru besides being carrier-neutral, boasts of largest peering and IP-transit arrangement including 170 CDN PoPs across 35 countries with 18 Domestic PoPs across India.
