Mangalore: Moot Court Society Inaugurated at SDM Law College

Mangalore, Aug 8: A person aspiring to join the legal profession requires courage, intelligence, and presence of mind. Hence, moot courts are needed for law students to become successful lawyers, said Shankar Bhat, well-known advocate on Friday August 8.

Speaking at the inaugural of 'Moot Court Society' of SDM Law College, he said that the present generation has plenty of opportunities to overcome difficulties faced by past lawyers in practice. Therefore, one should be actively involved in the practical trainings that are available during studies, Bhat advised promising lawyers.

One should improve his reading habits to understand the court rulings on various cases. It will not come in a day, and persistent efforts to stay abreast with the law are required in this field, he added.
Dr B K Ravindra, principal of the college, well-known advocate Shashiraj Kavoor, student union leader Ajay, and office-bearers of the Moot Court Society were present on the dais.

Vighneshkumar welcomed the gathering while Sita Suresh invoked the prayer. Kirthimohan compered the programme.
