Mangalore, Aug 9: The central excise Mangalore commissionarate organized a seminar on new services introduced in this year's budget, and dispute resolution scheme-2008, at the commissionarate office on Friday August 8.
Nagaraj, superintendent of central excise department, talked about the new services introduced in the budget. Speaking about the dispute resolution scheme he said that the department had taken an initiative to redress the grievances of tax payers. The scheme is applicable to pending service tax amounts up to Rs 25,000 and non-recovery of penalty of interest, he added.
M Ajitkumar, central excise commissioner, K Keshavan, joint director, and other officers were present on the occasion.
