BJP MLA Kalyan Singh passes away in Rajasthan


Jaipur, Feb 21 (IANS): Sitting BJP legislator from Rajasthan's Nathdwara, who had been suffering form cancer, passed away early on Wednesday in a hospital in Udaipur. He was 58.

Singh passed away at 2 a.m. in GBH American Hospital after prolonged illness, hospital sources said. He was admitted here for the last three-four days.

His last rites will be performed near Dagwara.

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje expressed her condolence on Singh's demise.

Singh had been frequently visiting the hospital for his treatments, BJP media in-charge Anand Sharma said.

State BJP president Ashok Parnami also expressed his condolences.
