Hyderabad, Feb 21 (IANS): Eight persons, including two women, were killed and three others were injured in a collision between two cars in Telangana's Wanaparthy district on Wednesday, police said.
The accident took place near Kannimeta in Kothakota block, about 150 km from here.
According to the police, an overspeeding car, which was on its way from Hyderabad to Kurnool, hit a divider, overturned and hit another car coming from the opposite direction.
A total of 12 people were travelling in the two vehicles, police said.
The injured were admitted to Mahabubnagar Government Hospital, where their condition is stated to be critical.
