Let's build India free of casteism, communalism: PM

Surat, Feb 26 (PTI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today appealed to the people to build a "new India" which is free of casteism, communalism and corruption.

The prime minister was addressing a massive gathering at the Lalbhai Contractor stadium here before flagging off the Surat Night Marathon, with 'Run For New India' as its theme.

"When the whole world has started accepting the importance of India, we need to shed our shortcomings. We need to build a new India which is free from the venom of casteism. It should be free from communal controversies. There can not be a place for corruption in this new India," Modi said.

"A country is not built by the government or administration or even politicians. A country is built by the strength of its citizens," he said.

One more feku jumla. First of all PM should instruct his partymen to respect all indians and stop giving illogic and anti consitution + anti indian statements. If PM is so honest let him kick out his partymen who gave illogic/illegal statements.

Unless and until asking religion and caste is abolished for admission to school and reservation of jobs, making India free of casteism is just a farce. Talking on the lines as above, by PM is absurd, which he himself is aware. However, it is a wishful thinking.

This is like the 15 lakhs promise. Only words no action. Lip service is easy. LS elections are nearing so such 'fool the people' words like these can be expected more often. We need to see repeated, strong and consistent action and public condemnation against communalism from all BJP their supporters and Modi government people to believe PM. We are used to PM's and Modi government's empty rhetoric and empty fake promises. Let us not become stupid over and over again. Our lives are too precious to give any benefit of doubt to chronic liars of this Modi government.
