Patna, Feb 26 (IANS): The budget session of the Bihar assembly began here on Monday with Governor Satyapal Malik delivering the customary address to the joint sitting of both houses of the state legislature.
In his address, the Governor claimed that crime rate in the state had fallen and lauded the state government for the developmental works that it had undertaken.
However, members of the opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) are likely to raise issues like surge in crimes, rampant corruption and deteriorating law and order in the state.
Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Sushil Kumar Modi will announce the state budget on February 27.
