Mangaluru: APD Foundation conducts plastic-free drive at PA Polytechnic

Mangaluru, Feb 28: Anti Pollution Drive (APD) Foundation in association with National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of PA Polytechnic conducted a Plastic Free Drive on February 22, in the college campus at Konaje.

About 200 students of the college participated in the camp. Ruhia Hussein, GM-Communications of APD Foundation was the resource person for the camp. She briefed the students regarding the harmful impact on the environment caused by the use of plastic and advised them regarding ways and means to make one’s environment plastic free.



Presiding over the function, principal of the college Prof K P Soofi emphasized on the need to reduce the use of plastic in everyday life. Dhanush Desai, a member of APD Foundation was also present on the occasion. NSS co-ordinator of the college, Marzooq Ahmed introduced the guests. Students of the college Farheen compered the programme and Safnaaz thanked the gathering.

After the formal function, the student volunteers picked the plastic waste and cleaned the campus.
