Can't join investigation as have businesses abroad: Nirav Modi to CBI

Mumbai, Feb 28 (Deccan Chronicle): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) wrote a mail to billionaire jeweller Nirav Modi accused in the Punjab National Bank (PNB) fraud on his official email address and asked him to join the investigation.

Nirav Modi, who is in Caribbean island St Kitts and Nevis, replied to the CBI mail saying that, "We have businesses abroad so I can't join investigation."

Soon after receiving the reply from Nirav Modi, the central investigating agency again shot a mail to the celebrity diamond merchant to contact the High Commission of the concerned country and said that the CBI will arrange for his travel.

CBI directed him to mandatorily join the investigation from next week.

Nirav Modi is accused in PNB fraud case mounting to around Rs 11,400 crore.

CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) have conducted several raids and searches at the houses and offices of Nirav Modi and his uncle Mehul Choksi, who is the owner of Gitanjali Gems.

Meanwhile, the Government has revoked the passports of Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi.

PM Modi government first provide assisted escape crony capitalist who funded his party campaign and now its premier investigation under Minister of Home Affairs sending 'invitation' as if their is party in 'Raj Bhavan'.
Instead of sending 'Red corner' notice through Interpol, CBI who present Director(R.K.Asthana) who was handpicked by PM Modi government himself part of the investigation whose name involved in corruption.
It should be noted Ex-CBI Director R.K. Raghavan appointed Indian High Commissioner to Cyprus headed a probe that cleared Narendra Modi of involvement in the 2002 Godhra riots.
The petitioner NGO Common Cause, had opposed Asthana’s appointment, saying it was illegal as his name had surfaced in a diary recovered during a raid conducted by the Income Tax department at the offices and other premises of company Sterling Biotech Ltd.
Firestar Diamond Inc, the US company of Indian billionaire diamond trader who is embroiled in India's biggest-ever bank fraud, has filed for bankruptcy in a New York court, under chapter 11.
If business interest abroad leading to bankruptcy, what is the point of revoking his passport who doesn't want to be in India for part of biggest bank haste?
How does PM Modi's government 'demonetisation' fail to check biggest bank fraud of the nation?
On the other hand a Indian currency note is signed by the RBI governor and it says,"I promise to pay the bearer a sum." Hence RBI notes which are a liability promises to pay you an asset. Why the RBI Governor maintaining absolute silence when bank fraud surfacing one after the other?
Is PM Modi government is accountable for 'public money' from the bank fraud?
How would PM Modi government will ensure banking system if public money is safe in deposits when it gets vanished with crony capitalist?

Funny headline ever I went through. Chota Modi refused "kindly" with respect like a ' Ghar Ka Damaad' to an invitation from the Sasur CBI to join the Biryani Party. First they let him flee the country and now all these drama happening. What a shame for an Agency, representing world's largest democratic state.
