Man stabbed 50 times, beaten with rods in Delhi for protesting Holi hooliganism

New Delhi, Mar 2 (Deccan Chronicle): In a shocking incident, a man in mid-twenties was repeatedly stabbed and beaten with rods by a gang of bikers in Khanpur area of Delhi on Thursday.

The man, Ashish was attacked when he was on his way back home from the gym.

The attack was caught on CCTV cameras. The footage shows 10 bikes with two men on each rush in one after the other and surround Ashish, who had just stepped out of the gym, according to a report in NDTV.

They then stab him repeatedly and beat him with rods. None of the locals came out to help him.

Ashish was taken to a hospital after the attackers left, where he is in a serious condition in the critical care unit (ICU). Doctors said that there were over 50 knife wounds in his body.

The hooliganism started after Ashish saved a little boy from being beaten up for throwing water balloons at two men. He was also threatened for intervening, the residents said.

My grand mother told me, when you see a person drowning, try to bring him safe to the shore. But looking at this incidence, I feel it is safer, is better to be a spectator. Once, I am killed who is there to help my family ? The government will show some sympathy today and will be busy on their own in tomorrow's problems. It is not a good idea to remain a spectator, but the mentality of some people is such, only I pray to God to save our country.

This man got beaten for preventing a boy from being beaten.

Elsewhere a girl was hit with a balloon filled with semen.

What kind of festival celebration is this ? And then, we are blaming the government. Did the government say to do violence in the name of festivals ? To fill balloons with semen and use them to hit girls ?

    Disgusting !

FYI - Dehli Police is still under central govt and reports to central home minister. So it is central govt responsibility to maintain law and order in Delhi. Delhi state govt has no power over the state police force.

Unfortunately Delhi police is not reporting to Sickular Kejriwal.
They are reporting to the Nationalist Rajnath Singh who will not do anything beyond KDI NINDA for the lawless situation in Delhi.
