Mangaluru, Mar 3: T R Suresh, police commissioner, has ordered to slap 'Goonda Act' on two persons, accused in several cases at various police stations under the city's police commissionerate limits.
The accused, on whom the Goonda act is slapped are rowdy Samitraj (29), resident of Daregudde near Moodbidri and Abdul Rahim alias Abdul Rahiman (30), resident of Kudroli. They are arrested and sent to Bengaluru central prison.
Samitraj is involved in more than 13 cases relating to rape, attempt to murder and arson. Abdul Rahim is accused in eight cases.
The police commissioner clarified that this action is taken considering the background of the criminals and to maintain law and order under the Mangaluru police commissionerate limits.
