Udupi, Mar 5: “Hindu population in India is a 100 crore and hence it should become a Hindu nation. There are 157 countries for Christian community, 52 countries for Muslims, 12 countries for Buddhists and also a country for Jews who are few in numbers. But unfortunately there is no separate country for Hindus. India is a secular nation, but you are not supposed to talk about Hindutva. One who talks about Hindutva will be labeled as a communal and case is filed against him. Hence, India should be built as a Hindu nation,” said by Vijay Kumar of district Hindu Jana Jagruthi Samiti Hotel Naivedya on Sunday, March 4.

He was speaking at the birth anniversary of Chathrapati Shivaji Maharaj, organized by Chatrapati Shivaj Vividoddesha cooperative organization, Udupi in association with Hindu Jana Jagruthi Samiti, Udupi district, Karnataka Kshatriya Maha Marata Okkoota and Udupi Marata Swabhimani Jagruthi Foundation. He said, “King Shivaji did not restrict himself to one particular community, but served the entire society. He fought against the Mughal Empire by empowering himself physically, mentally and spiritually. During the emergency period, former Prime Minister late Indira Gandhi made the 42nd amendment in the Indian Constitution and added word ‘secular nation’ instead of adding ‘India is a Hindu nation’. The Constitution has been amended 103 times. Now, it needs to be amended the 104th time to announce India, a separate nation for Hindus. There is a need to put forward a constitutional demand of forming a separate nation for Hindus and fight for that legally. Only then, India will become a Hindu nation.

“There is need to fight terrorism, rape, conversion, Love Jihad, taking over of temples by government, registering case against saints and seers, and exploitation on Hindus by upholding the ideals of Shivaji Maharaj. If not, it will become difficult for Hindus to survive. Let us all join and fight against anti-national activities legally to make India a Hindu nation by following the idea of Ramarajya of Mahatma Gandhi,” he said.

Dinesh C Naik, president of cooperative society presided over the programme.

Chief guest of the event V K Pavan, the editor of ‘Marata dhvani’ newspaper, Dinakar Shetty Herga, member of CMC Udupi, Manjunath S K, director, Karnataka State Souharda Cooperative Federation, Subash Naik, taluk panchayat member, R C Naik, president, Karnataka Kshatriya Maha Marata Okkoota, Ajith Kumar Nayka, secretary and Udupi Marata Swabhimani Jagruthi Foundation were present.
