Bantwal: Man gets thrown out of bus, dies at hospital

Bantwal, Mar 5: A person, who was thrown out of the bus when it heaved suddenly at Neerkaje road bend near Vittal in the taluk, died later at a hospital, without responding to treatment.

The deceased was Umesh (18), from Golikatte near Puttur Parladka. Umesh was standing near the backdoor of the bus that was carrying people from Bangaradka to a marriage function. When the bus took a sudden turn at the road bend at Neerkaje, Umesh lost his balance and was tossed out. He suffered serious injuries to his head. He was admitted into a private hospital at Puttur initially and then to a hospital at Mangaluru. But his life could not be saved and he passed away on Sunday March 4.

The Vittal police have registered a case of reckless and negligent driving against bus driver, Rajesh.
