Mangaluru: State level cultural conference of Madivala community on March 11

Mangaluru, Mar 6: “The state level cultural conference of Madivala community will be held by Hebri Thimma Somaayya Madivala foundation Moodbidri with the cooperation of Srasti Charitable trust at Padmavati Kalamandira, Moodbidri on March 11,” said H T Somaaya Madivala foundation president Sanooru Sathish Salian. 

Speaking in a news conference held in Samaja Mandira auditorium, Moodbidri on Tuesday, March 6, he said, “The conference chaired by well known author Dr Varada Srinivas will include discussion forums and cultural programmes. Opportunities for book exhibition and sales will be provided.” 

“MLA K Abhayachandra Jain will inaugurate the programme. Mukthananda Swamiji of Karinje and Basava Machideva Swamiji of Chitradurga will bless the occasion.”

Somayya Madival award 

“Twenty people including Rajendra Kotian from Bengaluru, Bejai Monappa Salian, Karinje Ramanna Kunder, Sadananda Naravi, N K Shiva, Sachidananda Khanderi, Kateelu Sanjiva Madivala, Babu Madivala Maryadi, Mijar Sadananda Salian, Veera Machideva multipurpose cooperative society and others will be presented Somayya Madivala award. Karnataka state Madivala association, district, taluk and Hobali association presidents and secretaries will also be honoured on the occasion.”

Basava Machideva award 

“Alvas education foundation president Dr M Mohan Alva will give a speech in the concluding programme in the evening. Former chief minister Dr M Veerappa Moily and former minister K Amaranath Shetty will be presented Basava Machideva award.”

Madivala Machideva award will be presented to Dr Vaman Nandavara, Dr Jayaprakash Mavinakuli, Jayanti S Bangera, P Deekayya, Balakrishna Manjeshwara, R Narayanappa Bengaluru and Guru Machideva multipurpose cooperative society, Udupi. Delicious meals will be served in the evening.”

Senior author Sadananda Naravi, Madivala Sajaseva association youth unit president Roopesh Kumar and women's wing secretary Jayashree Salian were present in the news conference.
