11 landmines seized in Jharkhand


Ranchi, Mar 7 (IANS): Security forces seized 11 landmines, each weighing 25 kg, from Jharkhand's Bokaro district on Wednesday.

Based on inputs given by arrested Maoists, the police destroyed a Maoist bunker at Lugu hill along with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

In neighbouring Giridih district, the CRPF and the police arrested 14 Maoists on Monday and Tuesday. A search operation is still on in both Bokaro and Giridih districts.
