Mangaluru: Newly renovated verandah around Idgah on Light House Hill Road inaugurated

Mangaluru, Mar 10: The newly renovated verandah around Idgah on Light House Hill Road was inaugurated by MLA J R Lobo on Friday, March 9.

Interlocks were laid on the verandah of the well-known mosque, a project worth Rs 60 lac approved by chief minister’s special fund.

Addressing the gathering, Lobo said, “Mangaluru is being developed as a Smart City. I want to make our city second to none in terms of development in the entire state. A report on the city’s development has been sent to the government.



“I thank the people of this area. People from all communities supported us. This place now looks beautiful due to the efforts of corporator A C Vinayraj,†he said.

Auto rickshaw drivers and others felicitated J R Lobo and mayor Bhaskar Moily.

Moideen Kunhi, Praveen Chandra Alva and others were present.
