Madikeri, Mar 10: In an incident that is reported from Chikkara village in Somwarpet taluk, a woman, who was a divorcee, shot herself and committed suicide.
Sowmya (32), daughter of Thammaiah, a resident of Chikkara village under Gowdalli gram panchayat limits, is the lady who took this extreme step at around 3 pm on Friday, March 9.
As per sources, Sowmya, who was divorced three years ago, was living in Mysuru and had come to her native place only three days ago.
