Indian Wells (US), Mar 17 (IANS): Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro came from a set down against German Philipp Kohlschreiber to seal a place in the last four of the Indian Wells Masters 1000 tennis tournament.
After losing the first set 3-6, Del Potro rallied in the second and third sets, winning them 6-3, 6-4, in a match which lasted two hours and eight minutes here on Friday, reports Efe.
"It wasn't an easy match, as everybody saw. But I was waiting for my chance to find the way of the game, and I did after the first set. And then my games improved a little bit, and I found the way on my returns," Del Potro said.
The sixth seed, who is hoping to go one step further than his best performance at Indian Wells in 2013, when he lost the final to Rafael Nadal, will meet Milos Raonic in the semis. The Canadian beat the American Sam Querrey earlier on Friday 7-5, 2-6, 6-3.
The Argentine will be making his third appearance at an Indian Wells semi-final, and his first since 2013, when he made his unsuccessful run to the final.
