BJP leader gets life imprisonment for murdering man over beef

Ranchi, March 21 (IANS): A fast track court in Jharkhand's Ramgarh district on Wednesday awarded 11 people, including a BJP leader, life imprisonment for killing a person on charges of carrying beef.

According to a lawyer, the court convicted 11 people including BJP's Nityanand Mahto on March 16.

A mob killed Alimuddin on charges of carrying of carrying beef in Ramgarh district on June 29 last year. The trial was monitored by the Jharkhand High Court.

During the trial, the prosecutor produced 19 witnesses and 59 documents. The accused were convicted under different sections of the Indian Penal Code

Last year, a dozen people were lynched in Jharkhand on charges of lifting children and carrying beef.

    This is India for you ..Cow is holy for the majority of the population ..yet it allows beef ..and stray incidents like these used to put down the entire community..by the intelligent media and some intelligence mafia which is bent on dividing the country.
    The Ruling party of the state which is based on hindutva ideology has not tried to influence the judiciary and has given a fair trial ..This wouldn't have been the case if it was congress ,sp,bsp ..etc/

    Just imagine if it were in any muslim majority country ...if you have to cook pork ..
    The tolerance level is probably 0 .you will be legally beheaded.r
    Please open you eyes ..do some self inquiry with out any prejudice.

    In Kumta,Uttar Kannada district another 'Gau Rakshak' who is responsible for attacking two Muslims for carrying cows unsuccessfully contested last time from BJP in last assembly elections is know seeking ticket for the second time while another BJP man in Jharkhand is tried for their same crime.
    In Rajasthan the man who murdered 50 year old Bengali labourer and burned and posted his video on social media is provided mobile and sending text from jail. The fanatic organisation who wanted his release provided legal assistance by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and gheored the court last time raised 'Bhagwa' flag above Indian national flag in protest.
    Life imprisonment is the most convenient way of punishment for BJP. It has proved in the case of 'Babu Bajrangi' and Maya Kodnani minister in Modi cabinet for killing more than 50 people in Naroda Patiya who have got bail several times and attending festivals with social media upload.
    Unless and until India don't amend the criminal law in line with collective National Campaign Against Mob Lynching has drafted a bill known as the Manav Suraksha Kanoon (MASUKA) to begin a legal conversation against lynch mobs.
    When our present legal system has blind faith on documented 'evidence' and judges sold their loyalty to criminals, these punishment will only embolden the criminals once freed from jail.

    With immidiate effect, which is not possible in a land where lynching a person can be scotted free in due course but killing a cow will be imprisoned for life.

    Next will go to High Court then Supreme Court. Will get communal groups to protest on the streets using vandalism to pressure the government/administration. Will get the police to deliberately botch the investigation, turn witnesses hostile by threatening or blackmailing or bribing and then finally walk away free.
