Mangaluru, Mar 25: Multilingual actress Chirashree Anchan has bagged Best actress award for her debut movie ‘Pavithra’ during the RED FM Tulu Film award ceremony held at Karavali ground on Saturday March 24.
Chirashree Anchan who hails from Haleyangadi is a proud daughter of Poornima Madhu and Madhusoodan Anchan.
This is Chirashree’s second award for Pavithra for a lead role, earlier she had bagged Mukta best actress award. Chirashree is the lone actress of coastal wood to have two awards to her credit. RED FM award was dominated by Pavithra movie gaining five awards such as Best actress, Best Choreography, Best story, Best playback singer female and best lyrics. Chirashree also showcased her dancing skills during the award ceremony.
It was a dream debut for Chirashree Anchan which ran for 100 days at the box office. Later she was seen in Tulu movie ‘Rambarooti’, Kannada debut ‘Huliraaya’ and also in Telugu.
Chirashree is one of busiest actress in coastal wood after her successful debut through ‘Pavithra’. Myriad of movies are lined up for release in Kannada, Tulu and Tamil. Chirashree will make her debut in Tamil movie ‘Malaithen’ and alsohas signed an untitled movie.
After ‘Pavithra’ and ‘Rambarooti’, Chirashree is back with coastal wood movie ‘Aapina Maatha Yeddege’ and ‘Karne’ opposite Arjun Kaapikaad which is set to release this May. Along with this Chirashree’s Kannada movie ‘Udumba’, is at the verge of release, while ‘Shivanapaada’, ‘ Karikambaliyalli Midinaaga’ shooting is at progress.
Speaking to Daijiworld.com Chirashree Anchan said,” This award is very special for me, ‘Pavithra’ movie has been very lucky to me, since then I have worked in different industries which got me lot of exposure. I thank everyone for their support and encouragement.”
