Big Boss Modi likes to spy on Indians: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, Mar 26 (IANS): Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the "Big Boss who likes to spy" and accused him of recording audio, video and tracking user location through GPS from his mobile app.

"Modi's NaMo App secretly records audio, video, contacts of your friends and family and even tracks your location via GPS (Geo-positioning System). He's the Big Boss who likes to spy on Indians," Gandhi tweeted.

"Now he wants data on our children. 13 lakh NCC (National Cadet Core) cadets are being forced to download the app," he said, urging the people to delete the Namo App from their smartphones.

The Congress chief's remarks comes after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) earlier on Monday accused him of sharing users data with a Singapore-based firm.

Earlier, the BJP had accused the Congress of compromising national security by roping in London-based political data analytics firm Cambridge Analytica to run its 2019 election campaign. The firm is allegedly involved in social media data manipulation.

    Ananta,

    Do you know the secret of preparing a cabbage dish, with each shred separate from each other, yet cooked to perfect softness ? Well, you may never - because one person can't know everything in the world. I gave you just one example of cooking because I know inside/outside of it but many men hardly venture into a kitchen.

    Even the PM before sitting for an interview, ensures that the questions he will be asked will be submitted prior, so that his adviser prepares the answers for him. Thats why, the answers flow out like how its with a good boy in a class. Has Modi ever taken random questions as RG did ? Why ? Because he will never be able to answer even as much as RG did. Therefore, its more humble to admit that he (RG) doesn't know something than being a by-heart speech giver which only came to light later the truth about tele-prompters.

    Although I agree with cabbage analogy to drive home a point that one may not know everything, there is no need to display ones ignorance in public forums. Questions are vetted by teams for both Raga and Modi. Not that he fields random questions. Connecting MRI machines and Singapore being in a unique place and your power is my power are just some examples of lack of coherent professional strategy. He needs to improve and is no match to seasoned politicians like siddhu, let alone modi and shah.

    Sir, The difference between Congress President is he honestly accepted what he doesn't know. But in the case PM Modi he doesn't even know to differentiate Mr and Mrs which he read as M-R-S despite having master degree in 'entire political science'.
    What surprising is RSS women wing lady in NCC uniform Tweeted saying NCC is second line of defence of the nation. Here is her tweet;
    Surprised he doesn't have details of NCC. It isn't "other stuff". It's 2nd line of defence. Hope Rahul Gandhi learns about it. It's important for leader to know about it: Sanjana Singh,NCC Cadet on Rahul Gandhi's statement 'I don't know details of NCC training&that type of stuff'
    Poor lady doesn't even know the NCC is a voluntary group of school and college kids. It's a way to get young people to accept a disciplined way of life. It's not any line of defence and this girl needs a reality check.
    However, if indeed the girl in question is an NCC cadet, she is likely to be booted out of the organisation as cadets are never allowed to make political statements while in uniform.
