Bengaluru, Mar 27: In a major relief to IAS officer and Hassan Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri, the Karnataka High Court on March 27 set aside the Central Administrative Tribunal(CAT) transfer order and has directed CAT TO hear her plea again.

The HC has asked her present her case before CAT on April 2.

Sindhuri had moved Karnataka High Court challenging the order of the Central Administrative Tribunal(CAT) which had asked her to give representation to the Chief Secretary against transferring from the post.

Sindhuri in her petition had contended that her action on sand mafia was behind the transfer after local politicians pressurised Chief minister Siddaramaiah. In her petition she had made principal secretary, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR), secretary, Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, and Randeep, deputy commissioner, Mysuru, who had to replace her as the Hassan DC, as respondents.

It may be recalled that Rohini, who assumed charge as Hassan deputy commissioner in July 2017, was transferred on January 22, 2018.
