Mangaluru: Konkani drama Khandi Khuris staged at Kinnigoli church

Mangaluru, Mar 28: The eighth performance in Mangaluru diocese of Biblical play 'Khandi Khuris' written by Vally Vagga and enacted by Rang Tarang Mysuru troupe was held at open grounds of the Church of Immaculate Conception, Kinnigoli here on March 25 in front of the audience of 1,200 people.

Fr Vincent Monteiro presented flower bouquets to Vally Vagga, author and George William D' Souza, director on behalf of the parish and wished best of luck in the mission of the play.



George William D' Souza on behalf of Rang Tarang troupe after the play thanked the people who were present in large numbers and Kinnigoli parish priest, parish pastoral council and the congregation who were instrumental in presenting the play.

Rang Tarang troupe has created history in performing the unique play in eight different places in the diocese during lent this year. Twelve creative members of the troupe including eight men and four women have travelled 2,823 kilometers for the purpose and nearly 7,000 people have commended the efforts.
