New Delhi, March 28 (IANS): BJP MLA Om Prakash Sharma was marshalled out of the Delhi Assembly on Wednesday for making "derogatory" remarks while Power Minister Satyendra Jain was speaking on the revised electricity rates.
The other three BJP MLAs -- Vijender Gupta, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, and Jagdish Pradhan -- who kept protesting against the revised rates, walked out of the assembly following Speaker Ram Niwas Goel's decision.
"I had decided to endure things to keep the session running. But after Sirsa ji made remarks on the Deputy Chief Minister, O.P. Sharma made personal comments on (AAP lawmaker) Somnath Bharti, then he made derogatory remarks while the Minister (Jain) was talking, " said Goel.
"I did bear with everything but in the end I had to take this decision (against Sharma) for the words he used... (he) didn't let the Minister answer to questions on electricity rates," he added.
The assembly session has been extended for two more days -- April 2 and 3.
