Ananth Kumar blames Rahul Gandhi for Parliament logjam

New Delhi, Mar 29 (DHNS): Union Minister Ananth Kumar targeted Congress president Rahul Gandhi alleging that his "lack of understanding" of nuances of parliamentary procedure has led to the 17-day logjam during the ongoing Budget Session.

"As soon as Rahul Gandhi became Congress president, there has been no productivity of the Congress and there has been no productivity of Parliament. He does not understand the nitty-gritty of parliamentary procedure, which has led to the logjam," the parliamentary affairs minister told reporters here.

Kumar's highly personal attack on Rahul comes at a time when the Congress president has drawn up extensive plans to campaign for the May 12 assembly elections in Karnataka.

The minister said the Congress had earlier sought a short duration discussion on the PNB scam but changed its strategy later and pressed for an Adjournment Motion.
"You are changing the goalposts sir, I am not changing the goal posts," Kumar said.

Kumar said after submitting a notice for moving a no-confidence motion against the government, Congress members had brought placards to the House with numbers written on them.

"According to the parliamentary procedure, bringing and distributing placards in the House is not allowed," the minister said accusing the Congress of turning a serious issue of no-trust motion into a joke.

Kumar also rejected Congress' claims that the government had not reached out to the Opposition to break Parliament deadlock. "We talk to Mallikarjun Kharge and Ghulam Nabi Azad every day," the minister said.

He is given no importance in Karnataka and no importance as minister at the centre. Hence, beating drums and making some sound now and then for some publicity.

Next year post 2019 the BJP will blame the Congress for being out of power.

Actually the BJP makes a ideal opposition and its permanent place is there .
Ever since winning in 2014, they have been blaming the CONGRESS for every
thing bad that they (BJP) have done.
Unfortunately they have yet to perform any Vikas and the time is 11.59 P.M.

When Congress was ruling under UPA 1 and UPA 2 BJP never allowed the Parliament to function and it was all marked by their protests.

Now he is complaining. Every dog has its own day Mr. Ananthkumar Hegde, MP. Nation was watching you when you protested for everything including BJP cooking on the streets when the LPG price, petrol price was hiked.

UPA 2 managed well when the international crude oil prices reached US$ 140 per barrel. When the crude oil prices had reached US$ 35 per barrel, what BJP did? Did you reduce the petrol prices? People are not fools to listen to your wild talks. Be sensible parliamentarian and introspect what BJP did during Congress rule.

I am against the Parliament Logjam whether it is BJP or Congress or any other party. You got the taste of your own medicine. Jai Hind.
