Konkani Kullvar, Kuwait to Celebrate Konkani Day on Aug 29

Kuwait, Aug 25: Konkani Kullvar, a Konkani Writers' Forum in Kuwait will be celebrating the 'Konkani Day’ on Friday August 29 at 6.00 pm sharp in Indian Community Girls School, Salmiya to commemorate the recognition of Konkani language under the 8th schedule of Indian Constitution.

On this occasion, one of the most senior Konkani activists will be the chief guest. On the same occasion another senior Konkani activist and another couple who were instrumental in keeping Konkani alive in Kuwait also will be honoured.

Inauguration of Kullvar Rangmanchi:

To support all kinds of Konkani Artists in Kuwait and to unite them together under one roof, Kullvar had already formed the Kullvar Rangmanchi, but the official inauguration will take place on this occasion.

Entertainment:

  • Pearl Beats, Kuwait (an up and coming beat group with experienced musicians and new singing talents) will presenting their maiden live concert through Rangmanchi. Ivan Almeida, Vinay Lewis, Vrinda Lewis and Nancy Pinto will exhibit their talents with sensational voices
  • A comedy drama of Shaan Bondel (source: Georghe Fidayeu) 'Dantak Dant, Dolleak Dollo’ will be staged by Ida D’Silva, Paladka and Shaan Bondel under the direction of Lancy Pinto Nayak.
  • Hilarious Jokes will be presented by Prashanth Ferrao and Group
  • Dances by budding dancers
  • Surprise gifts for children and visitors to Kuwait
  • Reserved seats for senior Konkani Artists
