Udupi, Apr 1: Paryaya Shri Vidyadhisha Theertha of Palimaru Swamiji offered special pooja for Lord Sri Mukhyarana at Sri Krishna temple here on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on Saturday, March 31.

He performed Madhu abhishekham and later offered one thousand golden coins to lord Hanuman.

Speaking to the gathering, Sri Vidyadheesha Theertha Swamiji said, “Lord Hanuman gives to all. The Mukhyaprana of Bhojan Shala has special power. He has Sanjivini plant in one hand and abhaya hasta in another. This symbols shows that he protects sincere and honest person and punishes wrong doers. He protects his devotees and those who are dedicated to him. There is a belief that Lord Hanuman lives in each rice; in each cook and he sees everything. This ritual is being performed since the 70th century in Krishna math. Hanuman Jayanti is our feast. Lord Prana means he is the breath of our life. Whenever we breathe, we are alive and when it stops our life ends.

“I would like to wish everyone for the upcoming elections. Let’s form a secure government. During the occasion of Akshaya Thritiya, the coins will be kept for auction and the devotees can buy them. Each coin weighs a gram and costs at Rs 10,000. The obtained amount will be added in making Suvarna Gopura (Golden sanctum) as I have desired earlier,” he said.

Junior Swamiji of Admar Math Sri, Ishapriya Theertha chanted Sri Harivayustuti and performed Madhu Abhishekha. Hanuma Jayanti was held with cultural extravaganza. Teams of devotees offered bhajans on the auspicious occasion.

Thousands of devotees were on queue for darshan of Lord Sri Mukhaprana from the very morning.
