Bantwal: Boy goes down to swim in well, drowns

Bantwal, Apr 2: Out of the two  minors, who went down a well in order to swim in Kundadka Pilinja within Vitlamudnoor village on Sunday April 1, one got drowned. The deceased boy is 15-year-old Darshan from Pilinja.

The victim, son of Govind Naik from Pilinja,  was  eighth grade student of Punacha school.

As there was no school on Sunday, three boys who were playing together, had reached near a well near their home. Two among them climbed down to play in water.  However, soon they were found to be struggling for their lives. The other boy who was looking at his friend, raised an alarm. Some locals rushed to help the boys. Some among them went down the well and saved one of the boys. However, Darshan had already breathed his last due to drowning.

A case of unnatural death stands registered in Vittal police station. Police visited the spot and made inquiries about the incident.
