Pilot, three others sustain injuries after IAF chopper crash lands

Uttarakhand, Apr 2: A pilot and three others sustained injuries after a cargo helicopter of Army caught fire here at a helipad near Kedarnath temple on Tuesday April 3.

The incident occurred when the Russian made Indian Air Force's MI - 17 collided with an iron girder while landing.


The reports said that the chopper was carrying equipment for the army. While landing a part of the chopper collided with the iron girder and caught fire. Consequently four occupants of the helicopter suffered injured after the chopper plummeted to the ground.

The locals and the police rushed to the spot and evacuated the passengers.
