BJP MPs to observe fast to protest impasse in Parliament, says Modi

New Delhi, Apr 6 (PTI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday accused the opposition of divisive politics and announced that BJP MPs will observe a fast on April 12 to protest the impasse in Parliament, for which he blamed the Congress.

The Prime Minister said at a BJP parliamentary party meeting that the ruling party was doing an inclusive politics while the opposition was doing divisive and negative politics due to the saffron party's rising strength, Union Minister Ananth Kumar told reporters.

With opposition parties targeting the government over Dalit protests, Modi said BJP MPs and other leaders will spend a night between April 14 and May 5 in over 20,844 villages with over 50 per cent population of scheduled castes and tribes to inform the masses about the Centre's various measures aimed at their welfare.

The party will also take out 'Sabka saath sabka vikas yatra', Kumar said.

On a day the BJP is celebrating its 38th foundation day, Modi said it has become the largest party due to people's blessings and tireless efforts of its workers and also paid tributes to many of its late leaders and workers.

The foundation day is dedicated to those who sacrificed their lives for the party's growth, the Prime Minister said.

How on earth fasting could solve parliament disruption issue? If he a good leader he has to speak to the opposition leaders and convince them.. looks like modi and his party has gone bonkhas, seriously does India need these type of leaders...

‘Disrupting Parliament is important’: BJP’s words from opposition days come back to haunt it. The BJP today is accusing the Congress of obstructionism. For years, it stood guilty of the same charge.
When successive sessions were disrupted by the BJP during the UPA regime, Sushma Swaraj, then leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, had declared that “not allowing Parliament to function is also a form of democracy, like any other form” .Perhaps PM Modi must have forgotten his own parties tradition of disrupting parliament.
Modiiji, Even anti corruption crusade Anna Hazare is in Ramlila Maidan started fast to death before 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
The whole India believed looking at his 'Topi' and Gandhian background. After the election he pressed his 'Mute' button against all BJP-NDA corruptions. Now he is talks like he resurrected man again after holy dip in Ganga.
India feels morally cheated. Those who proffered themselves as our saviours and social cleansers have turned out to be ordinary political operatives, if not worse. No society will allow itself to be hoodwinked a second time.
It PM Modi's own party has blocked the 'No confidence motion' presented by various parties. Today under PM Modi's leadership Parliament is not functioning is also rights of opposition parties in the context of BJP's own words.
Modi and BJP should recall the old days of Congress then PM Lal Bahadur Shastri's weekly fasting to reduce the dependency of food import from USA. His fasting does have some meaning but not BJP's MP's know for disruptions.

There is truly a limit to the extent that one can lie.

Having repeat the 2G lies a Hundred Times made it appear a Truth and the foolish Congress Party was dethroned in 2014 .

This is truly the Mother of all lies! But yet there are some many who would still believe it ???
    Can you believe this ?????
