These are incidents of settling scores, or may be fermenting trouble and create situations for their own selfish ends. Only a handful of unemployed people are involved in such acts, but media coverage is extensive. Our very own Indian is injured, maimed and in terrible pain.

I condemn the cowardly act of some miscreants attacking the people in a broad day light, in the vicinity of the crowd at Ambedkar or Jyothi circle yesterday. How can we observe religious harmony and tolerance if we live in fear? Let some sense enter into the minds of our people. Let our people get educated. Let us think less of religion and keep it only a private affair and work for the development and betterment of our people. Let our task be for harmony and peace. Hope sense prevails on the peple of Mangalore and we as citizens toil towards establishing a just society where every one may live as brothers and sisters.

It is a matter of regret that Mangalore which was once a peaceful City is turning into a war zone. One hears of stabbing incidents continiously. We have no doubt a very efficient police force under the guidance of The I.G.P. and the S.P. It is time that we have a PEACE FORCE to educate the miscreants and inculcate true values in them. It is a sad commentary on the secular fabric of our country. India know to be garden of religions -people living in harmony- is suddenly thrown into chaos by vested interests. I request all the citizens to isolate fundamental forces of all religions and maintain peace and harmony. What we need is more of spiritual values and less of religion, in whose name people kill one another! May there be peace.
