Mangaluru, Apr 9: Dr Bahauddeen Nadwi, vice chancellor of Chemnad Darul Huda Islamic University, said that Samasta organization functions only to provide religious guidance that is devoid of politics and unconnected with worldly affairs.

He was speaking at the valedictory function of Samasta mega conference and Samasta ideology conference organized by Ullal Sunni Students Federation on Saturday April 7 at Samshul Ulema dais of Bharat Maidan, Ullal.

"Some have disassociated themselves from Samasta organization as it has distanced itself from enmity and personal benefits. This however, has in no way harmed our organization. The organization, which has been giving religious guidance through Darul Huda spread over the country and abroad,and which is nearing a century of operations, has planned various programmes over a period of five months," he explained.

"Some people point out to others that they had deviated from the right path when in power. Instead, we should guide them in the way they should progress and how to attain heaven. It is improper to promise them lead to heaven as no one has given these people the power to issue tickets to heaven," said president of Ullal Dargah, Abdul Rasheed.

President of state unit of Jamiyatul Ulema, Shaikhuna Sayyid Zainul Abideen Tangal Kunnumgai, inaugurated the event. District Qazi, Alhaj Twaka Ahmed Musliyar, presided over the event. Samasta Kendra Mushavar vice president, Shaikhuna M T Abdulla Musliyar, Moodigere Qazi, M A Khasim Ustad, Atradi Qazi, Shaikhuna V A Abubakker Musliyar and a large number of other religious leaders were present.

Chief convener of reception committee, Hafil Zain Sakhafi, welcomed the gathering. Principal of Kotekar Maqdoomia Shariyat College, Shaikhuna Alhaj Haroon Ahsani, delivered the introductory address. Reception committee treasurer, Asif Abdulla, proposed the vote of thanks.
