Mangaluru: Two held - ganja, motor bike, seized

Mangaluru, Apr 10: Police personnel of the town station here detected a case of sale of ganja stored in motor bike at a bus shelter at Nehru Nagar here on Monday April 9. Two accused were arrested in this incident, and a motor bike was taken into possession.

The arrested persons are Ummer Farooq (33), son of Mohiuddin Kunhi from Kallandadka in Kabaka in the taluk, and Muhammed Taufiq (25), son of Abdul Razack from Kodippadi.

350 grams of ganja and the motor used for its illegal trafficking were taken into possession during the raid. The police have valued the motor bike at Rs 40,000 and ganja at Rs 15,000. The raid was conducted by a police team headed by sub-inspector, Ajey Kumar, under instructions from town station inspector, Sharana Gowda.
