Mangaluru: YCS/YSM conduct enlightening emcee, TV anchor workshops

Mangaluru, Apr 10: YCS/YSM of the diocese organised a workshop on emceeing and TV anchoring on April 9 at Derebail Church hall.

The inauguration commenced at 9.30 am. Fr Austin Peres, parish priest of Derebail Church was chief guest. After the inauguration, Fr Rupesh Madtha diocesan director welcomed the gathering and Fr Austin addressed the participants calling them to make use of opportunities in life.

Jennifer Carlo, Loretta Anthony and Deona Dsouza invoked God presence through a prayer song. Nevin Dcunha compered the programme and Violine delivered the vote of thanks.



The first session was taken up by Lesly Rego, one of the prominent speakers in town. He spoke on compering and organising programmes as well as public speaking.

The afternoon session was handled by Alwyn Danthy who enumerated the scope of anchoring programmes in media through demonstration.

All 81 were enthusiastic and energetic participants selected from all over the diocese.

The session wound up at 4.00 pm with distribution of certificates to the participants.

    Great initiative. Most importantly they should be taught to remain humble when they find success. Success mixed with arrogance is usually short lived.

    A wonderful programme for youth. Kudos to Fr Rupesh Madtha and his team. YCS/YSM plays an important role in transforming the youth for the present society. Training programmes like these will help them discover their potential. Congratulations to all 81 participants.

    Well done . Good initiative by Fr. Rupesh, Director, YCS/YSM. These 81 youngsters may have leadership role in their basic christian communities. Hope they will shine at the highest.
