3 killed in UP road mishap


Lucknow, April 16 (IANS): Three persons were killed and six others injured when a speeding truck rammed into a tempo in Ballia district, Uttar Pradesh, police said on Monday.

The mishap took place in the wee hours of Monday, an official said.

Of the six injured, the condition of three is very critical and they have been referred to Ballia.

Two deceased persons have been identified as--Arjun Kharwar (35) and Moti Chand Chauhan (30)--both residents of Ballia. The third person has not been identified yet.
