Policeman, civilian injured in J&K attack


Srinagar, Apr 16 (IANS): A policeman and a civilian were injured on Monday when militants opened fire in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district, police said.

According to the police, militants fired at Bilal Ahmad, a policeman and civilian Rafiq Ahmad when the two were going on a motorcycle in the main market of Shopian town in south Kashmir. They were shifted to a hospital for treatment.

The area was cordoned off, but no arrests have been made so far, police said.
