Bengaluru: Death sentence awarded to child rapist

Bengaluru, Apr 29: The 54th city civil court condemned Anil Balagar (35), who inhumanly raped and killed a six-year-old girl and hid her dead body, to death in a crucial judgement.

The convict is also a fined Rs 20000 by the judge M Latha Kumari. In addition, the court has ordered the government to give a compensation of Rs two lac to the victim's family.

Anil, who is married and father of two kids, was working as a daily wage labourer in the city of Bengaluru. He was residing at Veerabhadranagar at Banashankari third stage. The victim also resided in the same place with her grandparents. Her parents were working in a different place.

    Its high time even femael genital mutilation is branded a crime & parents & quacks/doctors are sent to life in prison. It is banned in the US & recently an Indian doc was sentenced to life. How can parents force this on innocent children in name of religion.
