Bantwal, May 2: Dakshina Kannada district Congress vice president, Baby Kunder, has accused Harikrishna Bantwal, who recently deserted Congress and joined BJP, of inflicting mental torture on veteran Congress leader and former union minister, B Janardhana Poojary.
Baby Kunder addressed a press conference here on Monday April 30. He said that Harikrishna Bantwal has been trying to mislead Billava community by mentioning the name of Janardhana Poojary when speaking to them in view of the fast approaching election.
"Young Billavas are getting jailed on account of intoxication of caste and community preached by BJP leaders. Billavas should wriggle out of this situation and live as per the ideals of Narayana Guru," he advised.
Congress leaders, Sanjeeva Poojary Bollayi, Mayilappa Salian, Parameshwar Moolya and others were present at the press conference.
